Meet at: Flag Pole, Figueroa/YorkSponsored by: The Registrar & The Recreation, Culture & the Arts Committee of the Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council 626.831.7970
Here's the Flyer
Come to the Spoke(n) Art Ride Saturday, April 8, 2006 at 6:30p. It meets at the corner of Figueroa & York (at the flag pole). North East Los Angeles has two dozen galleries & art houses in a two mile radius - and we will travel to nearly all of them on this ride. This ride is an entire evening worth of bikes, art & fun.
The ride will wind its way around the Eagle Rock & Highland Park area, stopping at every gallery open that night as part of NELAart's ongoing "2nd Saturday" Gallery Night. The galleries will generally be open from 7 - 10p - & run a WIDE spectrum of different genres & styles.
The ride starts at the corner of Figueroa & York Blvd. (at the flagpole). If you've got blinking lights that will help you stay safe. There is a bit of uphill riding, but we'll be rolling at an easy pace. Stopping at every gallery will take time & we want to hit them all. If you get lost, or want to meet up with the ride call (310) 902-5439 for directions.
At the end of the ride we'll meet up at the Bike Oven (130 W Avenue 42) & Rock Rose Gallery at 4108 N Figueroa. They're both VERY close to each other & close to Gold Line train stations & several all-night bus lines that run on Figueroa.Flyer at: http://ubrayj02.elitemail.org/NELAart.pdf
